Shelley Pereda’s passion for the creative expression of the human spirit is contagious. Apprenticed to painter Carlo Loli in Venezuela, her interest in art led her to Brazil, Europe, Central America, and China. She graduated with a degree in Advertising & Design and has worked for over 30 years as an award-winning senior design manager for national advertising agencies, news publications, Fortune 500 and startup companies. Some of her achievements include developing streaming interactive media for Artisan Pictures and the Sundance Film Festival, overseeing web UI/UX design and development for national news websites and influencing the creative direction for five successful political campaigns. A perpetual learner, Shelley continues to expand her knowledge of human technology interaction design. Along with serving on the WNC AdClub board, Shelley serves as a board member for the Preservation Society of Asheville & Buncombe County as the Marketing and Communications Committee Chair. She has also assisted nonprofits like the Asheville Masonic Temple, Cleveland Clinic, Forest ReLeaf and the Autism Community Center in their fundraising efforts.
When not raising her son and two daughters, Shelley can be found exploring new adventures, gardening, or in the kitchen working on another tasty masterpiece for her family and friends.
