We’ve all had them. The client who demanded all of our time and attention, and always asked us to give more effort than a scope of work could ever realistically conceive. The one who we never seemed to impress, no matter how hard we worked or how many hoops we jumped through to meet their deadlines and expectations. The one who, when we saw them pop up on our phone, we thought, “Oh s#!* what do they want now?!”
For better or worse, these clients either make us or break us. It takes a high degree of diplomacy, durability and perseverance to succeed with them, and the most successful ad industry pros who rein them in and rise to impress them always come out on top… or at least that’s the case most of the time.
